How Long Does It Take to Quit Smoking?

This distressful period is certain to last 2 to 3 weeks and it is also the same amount of time for all smokers. Yet for heavier smokers who have indulged in this habit for a longer time will experience a particularly intense withdrawal. It will take just months for the human body to become accustomed to its condition without nicotine. However, the trickier part is mastering the mind.
It is interesting that women who habitually smoke still recognize themselves as smokers, even during the 9-month term they quit when they have a child. This is apparently due to the fact that they plan to smoke again after their baby is born. What is psychologically difficult for the human brain to accept is the permanent decision to never smoke. This includes times when associations are made in the brain with a specific place, time, mood, activity, or event. Since habitual patterns have been deeply ingrained into the brain, it is extremely challenging for smokers to give up the cycle from a psychological perspective.
For habitual users to come to a full stop with their tendencies to smoke, it usually takes up to several months to a year. However, there are cases that smokers pick up the cigarette again after 1+ years, so it may be an unending process for a few.

It is just hard process to get into if you started to quit smoking. But if you’re willing to take it out on your system, I think it will take less time to complete it.
